Women's Cross Country Places 5th at Principia

ELSAH, Ill. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology came home fifth of 13 teams at the Principia College Cross Country Invitational, held Saturday morning.

Freshman Mary Petersen led the performance with a sixth-place finish in a six-kilometer time of 23:34.  Kally Morozin came home second among Engineers and 28th overall in 25:01.

Emilie Hobbs finished 30th overall with a mark of 25:06.  The Fightin' Engineer team score was rounded out by two more top 50 performances, Alexa Kovacs in 49th (25:53) and Annelise Cassidy in 50th (25:54).

Rose-Hulman returns to action next weekend at the University of Evansville Invitational.
