HANOVER, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology women's cross country team came home fourth in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships on Saturday at Hanover College.
Manchester won the meet with 22 points, followed by Bluffton with 64. Hanover was third with 99 points, Rose-Hulman placed 4th at 108 and Anderson rounded out the top five with 112.
Rose-Hulman relied on two all-conference performances to place fourth overall, marking the first time since 2009 that the Fightin' Engineers had multiple women's all-league honorees. Senior Emilie Hobbs came home seventh in 24:49 for six kilometers, with sophomore Kally Morozin placing eighth in a time of 25:10.
Sophomore Abby Hawkins was third among Engineers and 25th overall in 26:29. Freshman Alexa Kovacs placed 30th in 26:44, and junior Camille Blaisdell rounded out the team score in 38th with a mark of 27:09.
Rose-Hulman returns to action in the NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional on Nov. 12 at Holland, Mich.
