Rose-Hulman Fightin' Engineers

Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology

Golf Facilities

Indoor Golf Practice Area

It is our goal to provide the Rose-Hulman golfer the top of the line technology to better their performance on and off the golf course year-round. Officially opened in May of 2021, the Fightin’ Engineer Indoor Golf Facility is located in Sports and Recreation Center (SRC) on campus.

Our equipment:

  • Trackman 4 is by far the most powerful and accurate launch monitor on the market (it’s accuracy tolerance is 1 foot for every 100 yards. It’ is the only launch monitor on the market to utilize a dual radar system, providing more accurate feedback than any other system on the market. The radar technology is able to capture both ball flight data and club head data which is vital for the improvement of our golfers.  We use the trackman system extensively in practice, both indoors and outside.   In addition to its data feedback, trackman allows our players to play any of over 50 courses throughout the world.
  • Our secondary launch monitor is SkyTrak, a real-time tool that serves as a personal launch monitor, with immediate and accurate feedback on ball flight. Thanks to its wireless capabilities, our athletes can stay sharp through skills assessments, and realistic range practice. It was named the “Best in Golf” by Golf Digest (2017 and 2018) and “Best Consumer Technology of the Year,” by MyGolfSpy (2015).  This works in a pinch if some of your teammates are already working on the Trackman.
  • Our custom-made indoor putting green was built by Pro Putt Systems, a company based out of North Carolina. It is known to combine the best turf with the best base system to give realistic ball speed, roll and bounce. With about 750 square feet of space, this putting green allows our athletes successfully putt from a variety of distances and undulations. A portable chipping mat gives a new approach to short game as well, as it can be moved to almost any distance.
  • Executive lockers are provided for each of our players, allowing them a place to store their clubs during the winter.   No need to drag your clubs down from your room in order to practice!

Local Golf Courses
The Rose-Hulman golf programs have access to four of the top courses in the Wabash Valley.  Each course has hosted regional or national events since its inception.  Photos from each course are included in the photo gallery.
