TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology women's tennis team dropped just three games en route to a 9-0 shutout victory over Defiance College in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference play Saturday afternoon.
Rose-Hulman swept all three doubles flights 8-0. In singles, freshman Isabella Evans defeated Haley Kuhlman 6-0, 6-0 at second singles. The Fightin' Engineers also won fourth, fifth, and sixth singles 6-0, 6-0.
Senior Suzana Mohd won first singles over Savannah Marquez 6-1, 6-1. Fellow senior Kylie McCollum won third singles 6-0, 6-1.
Rose-Hulman improves to 4-1 on the season including 2-1 in HCAC while Defiance drops to 0-6. The Engineers return to action Sept. 4 for a noon match at Earlham.
