BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology women's swimming team finished second out of five teams competing in the Illinois Wesleyan Halloween Invitational on Saturday October 29.
The Fightin' Engineers won the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:57.59. Winning team members included Ellie Hong, Savannah Rice, Bethany Lefeber and Parker Brady.
The women also finished in second in the 300-yard breaststroke relay with an overall time of 3:46.38. Rose-Hulman had a strong showing in the 300-yard butterfly relay, finishing second with a time of 3:22.95. RHIT won the 300-yard backstroke relay with an overall time of 3:09.91. Lastly, Rose-Hulman finished in second in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:46.78.
Individually, Hong won the 200-yard backstroke with an overall time of 2:10.56. Maria Kline finished second in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:08.89.
The women will swim again on Saturday November 12 against Indiana State and the men will swim again on November 5 against Wabash.
