DELAWARE, Ohio -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology battled undefeated Ohio Wesleyan in several tight matches before falling 7-2 on Friday afternoon.
The Fightin' Engineers dropped the three doubles matches by narrow margins of 8-6, 9-8 and 9-8. In singles play, junior Bella Evans picked up a victory at the No. 2 position and senior Becca Stanley won at the No. 6 flight.
Rose-Hulman stands 8-2 on the season, while Ohio Wesleyan improved to 4-0 on the season. The Fightin' Engineers head to Earlham for a Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference matchup on Saturday.
