ORLANDO, Fla. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology improved to 4-3 on the men's tennis season with convincing wins of 8-1 over Adrian and 9-0 over Ohio Northern on Tuesday in Orlando.
Against Adrian, Rose-Hulman started the day with a sweep of three doubles matches. Winners included Georges Adam and Brandon Benedict at No. 1; Andre Adam and Cam Metzger at No. 2; and Joe Kendall and Matt Conrad at No. 3 to propel the victory.
In singles play, Georges Adam, Benedict, Andre Adam, Conrad and Brendan Goldacker all earned wins on the afternoon.
Against Ohio Northern, the same three doubles team earned convincing wins of 8-3, 8-0 and 8-2. In singles play, Rose-Hulman lost only a combined two games with Benedict, Metzger, Andre Adam, Conrad, Andrew Schiffman and Goldacker capturing victories.
The Fightin' Engineers completed a span of three wins in 27 hours with today's two victories. Rose-Hulman concludes its annual spring trip with two matches on Wednesday. The Fightin' Engineers face Capital at 12:30 p.m. and Wartburg at 7:30 p.m. to complete the Florida trip.
