INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology advanced to the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament championship match with a 5-0 win over Hanover College at West Indy Racquet Club on Saturday.
Rose-Hulman will face third-seeded Transylvania on Sunday at 10 a.m. at West Indy for the conference championship and an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament.
Juniors Georges Adam and Brandon Benedict led the Fightin' Engineers with two wins each. The duo combined for an 8-0 victory in doubles play and won in straight sets at the No. 1 and No. 2 singles positions.
The doubles team of Andre Adam and Cam Metzger earned an 8-3 win at the No. 2 position, and the No. 3 team of Matt Conrad and Joe Kendall also won 8-3.
Rose-Hulman improved to 19-8 and extended its school record for single-season wins with the victory.
