Swimming Teams Win 27 Events at Anderson

ANDERSON, Ind. -- It was a true team effort as the Rose-Hulman Fightin' Engineers swimming team recorded the top time in 27 of 28 events in a dual meet win at Anderson University on Friday night.

The men's squad won 14 events, with the women recording 13 victories.  On the women's side, multiple-event individual winners included Bethany Lefeber in the 100-freestyle (1:00.62), 100 breaststroke (1:16.73) and 400-individual medley (5:05.67); Parker Brady in the 100-backstroke (1:05.41) and 200-backstroke (2:26.60); Elle Nowakowski in the 50-freestyle (26.40) and 100-butterfly (1:05.95); and Elisa Weber in the 200-freestyle (2:06.78) and 200-breaststroke (2:39.56).

Other event winners included Lauren Blake in the 500-freestyle in 5:45.61; and Maria Kline in the 1,000-freestyle in 11:49.53.  The 200-medley relay team of Brady, Weber, Lefeber and Nowakowski won in 1:58.83, while the 400-freestyle relay team of Brady, Blake, Kline and Nowakowski capped the night with a win in 4:00.78.

On the men's side, Rose-Hulman had three individual multiple-event winners.  Sean Gish won the 50-freestyle (22.42) and 100-freestyle (49.42); Patrick King swept the 100-butterfly (54.47) and 200-butterfly (2:02.41); and Ethan Park won the 200-breaststroke (2:18.13) and 400-individual medley (4:20.53).

Single individual event winners included Satya Arcot in the 100-breaststroke (1:02.71); Cam Gill in the 100-backstroke (54.11); William Kemp in the 200-backstroke (2:01.89); Evan Meredith in the 500-freestyle (5:02.64); Daniel Skiroock in the 200-freestyle (1:51.07); and Ben Stone in the 1,000-freestyle (10:54.30).

The 200-medley team of Kemp, Gish, Tyler Sariscsany and Greg Wenning won in 1:41.85, and the 400-freestyle relay of Dutch KippStone, Meredith and Zach Tate won in 3:20.23.

Rose-Hulman returns to action at the Transylvania Invitational on Dec. 2-3.
