Jaclyn Setina Finishes 13th Nationally in High Jump

NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology junior Jaclyn Setina earned a 13th place national finish in the high jump at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field National Championships on Saturday at North Central College.

Setina cleared 5' 5" on her second attempt to secure 13th place among the nation's top 17 NCAA Division III women's high jump competitors at the national meet.

Setina has enjoyed a solid career at Rose-Hulman with four Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference individual championships.  She captured the high jump championships indoors in 2016 (5' 4 1/2") and 2017 (5' 4 1/4") and was also the 2016 outdoor titleist (5' 0 1/2").  Setina was also a memorable of a conference championship 4-x-400 meter indoor relay team in 2015.

Her efforts include a school record as part of the 4-x-400 relay (4:09.70) and a No. 2 ranking in both the indoor (5' 6 1/4") and outdoor (5' 4 1/4") high jump.

Setina continues a women's high jump tradition of representing Rose-Hulman at the NCAA Championships.  Her current position coach, Liz Evans, won five national championships and was an eight-time NCAA Division III All-American at Rose-Hulman.
