Men's Tennis Falls at No. 4 Ranked Washington U.

O'FALLON, Ill. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's tennis team hit the road for a matchup against No. 4 ranked Washington University one day after securing the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference regular season championship, falling 9-0 to the Bears.

In doubles play, the teams of Georges Adam and Brandon Benedict joined Cam Metzger and Andre Adam in competitive matchups against nationally ranked doubles teams.  Both squads lost by 8-5 scores.

In singles play, Georges Adam battled Johnny Wu of Washington University in a tight 7-5, 6-3 match. Cam Metzger also narrowly fell in set one by a 7-5 margin, before dropping set two 6-2.

Rose-Hulman stands 17-8 entering the HCAC Tournament at West Indy Racquet Club next weekend. The Fightin' Engineers face either the No. 4 or No. 5 seed in semifinal action on Saturday at 1 p.m.  The championship match is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Sunday.
