TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman women's tennis team moved to 3-0 in 2017 after a 7-2 victroy Sunday afternoon over Oakland City at the Joy Hulbert Tennis Center.
Rose-Hulman swept both doubles matches of the afternoon. The duo of Anna Thompson and Naomi Bhagat earned an 8-1 win at No. 1 doubles. Fanny-Jane Banda and Bella Evans also secured an 8-1 win at the No. 2 doubles slot.
In singles play, Linde Schaffer won at the No. 2 slot 6-2, 6-0. Beata Barati earned a win in the No. 4 position 6-1, 6-3.
Rose-Hulman, 3-0, 1-0 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference, will return to action on Wednesday September 20 at Franklin College. Match time is set for 6 PM.
