Women's Swimming Narrowly Falls at Hanover

HANOVER, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology narrowly dropped a women's swimming dual matchup by just 12 points on Friday night at Hanover College.

The Fightin' Engineers won five events and had six runner-up finishes in the performance.

Event winners included Lauren Blake in the 100-freestyle (57.76) and 200-freestyle (2:05.94); Parker Brady in the 100-backstroke (1:05.48); Maria Kline in the 100-butterfly (1:08.29); and the 200-freestyle relay team of Brady, Tana Hendrickson, Hailey Heidecker and Blake (1:50.47).

Runner-up finishers included Brady in the 50-freestyle (27.50); Heidecker in the 100-freestyle (1:03.79); Hendrickson in the 200-freestyle (2:13.72); and Kline in both the 500-freestyle (5:56.99) and in the 1000-freestyle (12:22.47).

The Rose-Hulman men's and women's teams will compete at Bellarmne University on Saturday.  The women will face Bellarmine and Indiana State, while the men have a dual meet with Bellarmine.
