TERRE HAUTE, Ind.-- The Rose-Hulman women's tennis team hosted Franklin in their cancer awareness game on Sunday, 10/7. The team wore orange and blue t-shirts to help spread awareness for kidney and prostate cancer.
The Grizzlies were able to sweep the Engineers in doubles competition winning all three matches.
In singles play, Fanny-Jane Banda was able to come away with a win 6-2, 6-2 at No. 3. Linde Schaffer defeated her opponent 4-6, 6-4, 1-0 at No. 5. The Engineers were able to get another win in singles competition after Beata Barati beat her opponent 6-1, 6-1 at No. 6.
Rose-Hulman would ultimately fall to the Grizzlies with a final score of 6-3. This loss drops the Engineers to 4-3 overall and 4-3 in the HCAC. Rose-Hulman will travel to face Millikin for their next match on Wednesday, 10/10 at 6:30 PM CT (7:30 PM ET).
