TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Transylvania University relied on wins in the doubles flights to pick up a 7-2 victory over Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in women's tennis action on Saturday.
Rose-Hulman picked up victories at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions on the day. Naomi Bhagat picked up a 6-4, 6-2 victory at No. 2, and Fanny-Jane Banda earned a 6-0, 6-0 win at the No. 3 spot.
Transylvania improved to 2-3 and 2-0 in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference play, while Rose-Hulman dropped to 3-1 and 3-1 in league games. The Fightin' Engineers return to action next Saturday at home against Manchester University.
