TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology won eight events and picked up eight runner-up performance in a home dual meet matchup against nationally ranked DePauw University.
The visiting Tigers won the men's meet 164-116 and the women's squad picked up a 216-58 win. Two Fightin' Engineers won a pair of events to lead the scoring performance. Ethan Park won both the 200-individual medley (2:00.57) and the 200-breaststroke (2:11.56). Joshua Schnipke swept the one-meter (202.35) and three-meter (178.90) diving events.
Other men's winners included Dutch Kipp in the 50-freestyle (21.91) and Nick Samra in the 100-breaststroke (1:00.54).
On the women's side, Rose-Hulman picked up a pair of event wins. Lauren Blake captured top honors in the 100-freestyle (56.68) and Michaela Kivett won one-meter diving with 218.15 points.
The runner-up performances were led by Michelle Reese in women's one-meter diving with a career-best score of 260.25. On the men's side, individual runner-ups included Jared Brown in the 50-freestyle (22.25); Kipp in the 100-freestyle (48.03); Park in the 100-breaststroke (1:01.07); Michael Rosier in the 100-butterfly (53.62); and Nick Samra in the 200-breaststroke (2:16.79). The men's 200-medley (1:38.04) and 400-freestyle (3:15.21) relay teams also came home second.
Rose-Hulman returns to action with meets at Valparaiso on Friday and Calvin on Saturday.
