TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology senior Nick Palmer, senior Eric Fiacable and junior Nathan Schrader made final performances before the NCAA Division III Indoor National Championships selections take place with strong performances at Ohio Northern on Saturday.
Palmer came home second in the pole vault with a mark of 15' 8 1/2". Fiacable was third in the weight throw at 56' 6 1/2" and Schrader came home eighth in the weight throw with a mark of 50' 8 3/4".
Coming into Saturday's action, Palmer ranks No. 12 nationally in the pole vault with a leap of 15' 9 3/4". Fiacable is ranked 25th in the weight throw (58' 10") and Schrader stands 34th in the weight throw (57' 3 3/4") entering this week's action.
The NCAA Division III National Championships - for selected qualifiers - will take place Friday and Saturday in Boston.
