TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology junior Matthew Stevenot broke one of Rose-Hulman's longest standing records on Thursday night at North Central College.
Stevenot ran the 5,000-meter run in 14:46.90 to break a record set by Dennis Dierckman in 1975.
Overall, Stevenot placed 10th in a field of 101 of the nation's best runners competing in one of the nation's most prestigious meets.
