FULL RESULTS
TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology relied on eight event victories and five runner-up finishes to capture first-place team honors at the Indiana Division III Men's Swimming and Diving Invitational on Saturday at the Vigo County Aquatic Center.
Rose-Hulman topped the 6-team field by earning top honors over Franklin and Wabash in the meet.
Ryan Bowering led the individual performance with two first-place finishes. Bowering won both the 200-backstroke (1:59.41) and the 1000-freestyle (10:09.27).
Individual winners also included
Jared Brown in the 50-freestyle (21.51);
Vineet Ranade in the 200-individual medley (2:00.88);
Justin Roberts in the 100-butterfly (53.80); and
Evan Sellers in the 500-freestyle (4:53.94).
Rose-Hulman also swept victories in both relay events. The 200-medley team of
Ryan Nikolic, Ranade, Brown and
Tyler Sommer won in 1:37.01. The 400-freestyle team of
Logan McLaughlin, Nikolic,
Brendan King and Brown won in 3:12.77.
Runner-up finishers include Ranade in both the 100-breaststroke (1:01.29) and 200-breaststroke (2:14.25); Roberts in the 100-backstroke (55.02); and Sellers in the 1000-freestyle (10:12.74).
Rose-Hulman returns to action with a dual meet at Wabash on Friday October 29.
