FRANKLIN, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology won two singles matches and swept all three doubles flights to pick up a 5-4 women's tennis victory at Franklin College on Tuesday night.
In doubles play,
Taylor Goldman and
Ruby Kauffman won 8-3 at the No. 1 position.Â
Ella Dorfmueller and
Krista Manche won 8-5 at the No. 2 flight.Â
Julia McGuire and
Gwyneth Kibbey completed the doubles sweep with an 8-3 win at the No. 3 spot.
Singles winners included Goldman by a 6-0, 6-0 margin at the No. 1 spot; and Kauffman by a 6-1, 6-2 score at the No. 3 position.
Rose-Hulman improved to 2-4 overall and 2-2 in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference play, while Franklin dropped to 3-6 and 1-4 in league matches. The Fightin' Engineers close the fall 2021 regular season at home against Transylvania University at 11 am on Homecoming Saturday this weekend.
