TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology relied on 12 event victories to top Anderson University 179-81 in men's swimming and diving action on Saturday at the Sports & Recreation Center Natatorium.
Derick Miller and
Evan Sellers led the individual performances with two wins each. Miller won the 100-butterfly in 51.97 seconds and the 100-breaststroke in 1:01.17. Sellers brought home top honors in the 200-freestyle (1:47.20) and in the 500-freestyle (4:49.35).
Other individual winners included
Ryan Bowering in the 400-IM (4:19.90);
John Dinkel in 1-meter diving (188.45 points);
Alex Ketcham in the 50-breaststroke (28.49);
Heath Thomas in the 1000-freestyle (10:54.47);
Tyler Sommer in the 100-freestyle (48.83); and
David Utsis in the 50-backstroke (27.17).
Rose-Hulman also swept the two relay events.Â
Ryan Nikolic, Miller,
Anthony Napreev and
Logan McLaughlin won the 200-medley relay in 1:37.42.Â
Nick Edwards, Nikolic, Sommer and McLaughlin combined to win the 400-freestyle (3:14.93).
Rose-Hulman improved to 2-0 in duel meets this season with wins over Wabash and Anderson. The Fightin' Engineers return to action in a duel meet at Bethel on Friday Nov. 19.
