TERRE HAUTE, Ind. --Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology led the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference with 39 academic all-conference honorees during the winter 2020-21 sports season, in results released Wednesday by the league office.

The fall academic all-HCAC team includes student-athletes from teams that were originally scheduled to compete last winter (basketball, swimming and diving, indoor track and field).

The women's track and field team led the way with 13 student-athletes named to the Tom Bohlsen Academic All-League honoree list.  Other fall teams receiving honors included men's track and field (8), men's swimming and diving (7), women's swimming and diving (5), men's basketball (5) and women's basketball (1).  The honor is named in recognition of the league's first commissioner, who served the role from 1998-2008.

Academic all-conference student-athletes must follow the criteria of carrying a 3.50 cumulative grade point average - in at least their second year at the institution - entering the beginning of their varsity practice season.  The grade point averages are calculated through the fall 2019 academic quarter for spots on the Academic All-HCAC Team.
