TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology standouts Kyle Brownell and Jailen Hobbs earned 2022 USTFCCA Men's NCAA Division III All-Great Lakes Region Indoor Team honors, in results released on Tuesday by the national coaches association.

Hobbs ranked No. 3 in the NCAA Division III Great Lakes Region and No. 20 nationally in NCAA Division III with his season-best mark of 6.85 seconds to win the HCAC 60-meter championship.  He was also named HCAC Men's Sprinter and HCAC Men's Newcomer of the Year.  His 6.85 second mark marked both Rose-Hulman and HCAC championship records.

Brownell ranked No. 4 in the NCAA Division III Great Lakes Region and No. 23 nationally in NCAA Division III with his season-best mark of 6' 7 1/2" to win the HCAC high jump championship.  He also holds Rose-Hulman's high jump school record at 6' 8 1/4".  The all-region team is made up of the top five performances over the season as achieved by the over 40 colleges and universities in the NCAA Division III Great Lakes Region.

The all-region performances helped Rose-Hulman place 2nd as a team at the HCAC Indoor Championships in February.  The outdoor season begins March 19 with the Rose-Hulman Early Bird Invitational.
