TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's tennis team gave Trine University a tight battle before falling 6-3 at Brickway Tennis and Pickleball Club on Sunday.
Rose-Hulman led 2-1 after doubles, courtesy of wins by the No. 1 team of
Owen Reynolds and
Rhian Seneviratne and the No. 2 team of
Grant Paradowski and
Andrew Leonard.
The match was tied 3-3 after a 6-1, 6-2 win by Paradowski at the No. 2 singles flight. Trine picked up wins at the final three singles positions to secure the victory.
Rose-Hulman stands 5-7 on the season and opens Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference play next Saturday with a home matchup against Anderson University.
