TERRE HAUTE, Ind.-- The Rose-Hulman men's tennis team went 1-1 in their Homecoming Tri-Match defeating Earlham College and falling short to Greenville.
The Fightin' Engineers advanced to 2-0 in the HCAC after defeating Earlham 6-1.
The team picked up the point in the doubles competition with wins at No. 1 doubles by
Ervin Perkowski and
Grant Paradowski 7-5, and No. 3 doubles by
Eli McIntyre and
Andrew Leonard 6-2.
The team was able to seal the conference victory winning five of the six singles matches.
Rose-Hulman fell short in the second match of the day against Greenville with a score of 4-3.
After being swept in the doubles matches, the team picked up wins in three of the six singles matches.
Winners included
Joao Henrique Nossar in No. 2 singles 6-3, 6-2, Perkowski in No. 4 singles 6-3, 6-4, and
Ephraim Guthrie in No. 5 singles 6-4, 4-6, 1-0 (10-7).
This concludes the Fall season for the men's tennis team. Rose-Hulman will return to action hosting Illinois Tech on Saturday, February 1.
