TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's tennis team brought home a big 9-0 win over Wittenberg in their final match before heading to Florida at the end of the month.
Rose-Hulman started off the match quickly as
Ervin Perkowski and
Owen Reynolds (#2 doubles) and
Grant Paradowski and
Chris Lian (#3 doubles) cruised to 8-3 and 8-0 wins.
At #1 doubles,
Rhian Seneviratne and
Elijah Hadler had a hard-fought match that went back and forth, but the Fightin' Engineer duo was able to take control i the tiebreak and hold on for an 8-7(7-2) victory to give Rose-Hulman a 3-0 lead.
In singles, Paradowski, Reynolds, Hadler, Lian, Seneviratne, and
Renato Prado would roll, losing just 25 total games to win it 9-0.
Rose-Hulman will return to action on February 26 with a doubleheader in Orlando against Wartburg and Alma.
