ORLANDO, Fla. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's tennis drop dropped a close match with Division II Davenport on Wednesday in the 5-4 defeat.
The Fightin' Engineers opened doubles with a 2-1 victory as
Ervin Perkowski and
Grant Paradowski dominated the #2 doubles match at 8-2 and
Chris Lian and
Owen Reynolds held on at #3 doubles with an 8-6 victory.
In singles, Lian brought home his second win of the day to put Rose-Hulman up 3-1 with a 6-2, 6-2 victory at #6 singles.
However, the Panthers held on for wins at the top four singles spots to clinch the match victory.
Perkowski improved to 6-0 at singles with a 7-6(8-6), 6-1 victory at the #5 spot.
The Fightin' Engineers fall to 5-2 on the season with the loss, and they will return to the courts on Thursday, February 29 at 1 PM for their final match of the spring trip at Warner University.
