TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman men's tennis team picked up a win over Trine University on Sunday with a final score of 5-2. This improves the team to 6-5 overall this season.
The team swept the doubles competition to stand ahead 1-0 in the match. The No. 1 doubles team of
Tim Eckermann and
Ervin Perkowski won their match 7-6 (8-6).
The No. 2 doubles team of
Chris Lian and
Owen Reynolds claimed a victory with a score of 6-3, and
Eli McIntyre and
Grant Paradowski defeated the Thunder at No. 3 doubles 6-3.
The team won four of the six singles matches to secure the win over Trine.
Reynolds picked up a win at No. 2 singles 5-7, 6-4, 1-0 (10-2). Perkowski took care of business at No. 3 singles 6-1, 6-0. Parakowski claimed the win at No. 4 singles 6-0, 3-6, 1-0 (10-5).
The team will return to action on the road, facing Anderson in HCAC action on Saturday, March 22, at 2 PM.
