LEXINGTON, Ky. -- The Rose-Hulman women's tennis team suffered a loss to Transylvania in the last game of the regular season with a final score of 6-1. This puts the team at 8-11 overall and 6-1 in the HCAC, which earns them the #2 seed in the HCAC Tournament.
The Pioneers got off to a hot start, sweeping the doubles competition to take the early lead.
Addie Patterson picked up the lone win for the Fightin' Engineers at No. 4 singles with a final score of 6-4, 6-1, 1-0 (10-7).
The Fightin' Engineers receive a first-round bye in the HCAC Tournament and will return to action, competing in the HCAC Semifinal on Saturday, May 3, in Indianapolis, Indiana.
