PENDLETON, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Fightin' Engineers men's tennis team defeated Anderson University with a final score of 4-0 to bring home their ninth conference championship in the last 10 years.
Rose-Hulman took the lead after sweeping the doubles competition to win the doubles point.
Tim Eckermann and
Chris Lian claimed the win at No. 1 doubles 6-3;
Grant Paradowski and
Ervin Perkowski picked up the victory at No. 2 doubles 7-5; and
Eli McIntyre and
Joao Henrique Nossar won in the No. 3 spot 6-1.
The Fightin' Engineers completed the sweep, winning three singles matches to claim the HCAC title.
Ervin Perkowski won at No. 3 singles 6-1, 6-3;
Grant Paradowski got the job done at No. 4 singles 6-4, 6-0; and
Joao Henrique Nossar earned the match-clinching point at No. 1 singles 7-5, 6-4.
Grant Paradowski was named the 2025 HCAC Men's Tennis Championship Most Outstanding Player.
Rose-Humlan now stands at 13-9 overall this season. The win earns the team an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Men's Tennis Tournament. The team will find out who they play in the first round of the national tournament in the NCAA Selection Show on Monday, May 5, at 12:30 PM.
