TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology has named Seth Woodason as interim athletic director. He will continue to serve in his role as director of recreational sports and athletic facilities. 

Woodason enters his sixth year as the director of recreational sports and athletic facilities in the 2025-26 season and has been a member of the Rose-Hulman SRC staff for over a decade. 

"Throughout Seth's 10-plus years at Rose-Hulman, he has built an outstanding recreational sports program," stated Vice President of Student Affairs Erik Hayes. "He is well-respected by our students and has established great relationships with our coaches. He will make a seamless transition into his new role, and we expect him to continue to maintain the legacy of excellence in our athletic programs."

Woodason has been an active member of the Rose-Hulman campus community, including his service as a staff representative to the Board of Trustees over the past two years.

Before his time at Rose-Hulman, he served as the assistant director of the fitness center at the University of Evansville from 2013 to 2015 and the assistant director of the fitness center at Gonzaga University from 2012 to 2013. 

"I am honored and excited for the opportunity to lead the athletic department at Rose-Hulman," said Woodason. "'I've seen first-hand the impact that the Rose-Hulman athletic experience provides our student-athletes, and I'm looking forward to continuing the tradition of academic and athletic excellence with our student-athletes."

Woodason was an NCAA Division II football student-athlete during his undergraduate studies at Harding University. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in sports management in 2009 and later completed a master's degree in recreation and sport management from Indiana State University in 2011.
