BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Fightin' Engineers started the 2025 season with a 4
th place finish at the Sam Bell Invitational, recording a team score of 110 points.
Junior
Brianna Bittel led the way for RHIT, as she came in 18
th place with a time of 15:17.48. Senior
Jada Hunter-Hays posted the Fightin' Engineers' second-best time at 26:41.71, securing 26
th place. Freshman
Malia Pischel opened her collegiate career by coming in 28
th place, as she crossed the finish line in 17:00.96.
Sophomores
Summer Kite and
Juliana Carragher rounded out Rose-Hulman's top five as Kite came in 29
th place with a time of 17:15.55, while Carragher recorded a 30th-place finish in 18:04.57.
Hosts Indiana won the meet with 15 team points, recording the top seven finishes. Claire Overfelt placed first overall with a time of 13:45.21, Lily Myers took second in 13:51.63, and Joey Rastrelli came in third with a time of 13:56.54.
Rose-Hulman will return to Terre Haute for the John McNichols Invitational. The 6K race will be held at the LaVern Gibson Championship Course, and is set to begin on Saturday, September 20, at 9:45 AM.
