TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference has announced their weekly awards for the sport of women's cross country. Rose-Hulman star Jocelyn Onstot has been named the HCAC Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week for her record-breaking performance in the Augustana Interregional Invitational this past weekend.

Onstot broke a 13-year-old Rose-Hulman school record in the 6K at the Augustana Interregional Invitational. She recorded a time of 21:43.2 to finish 20th overall in the Gold Race. The record was previously set by Rose-Hulman Hall of Famer Ryann-Rebecca Montgomery with a time of 21:44 in 2013.

This is the 13th HCAC Athlete of the Week honor for Onstot in her college career with the Fightin' Engineers.

Onstot and the rest of the Fightin' Engineers women's cross country team will look ahead to compete in the HCAC Championships on Saturday, October 31, at 11 AM.
