TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman women's tennis team hosted IU Southeast on Saturday during Homecoming Weekend. The Fightin' Engineers fell short to the Grenadiers with a final score of 4-3. This drops the team to 0-2 this season in dual matches.
The Fightin' Engineers fell behind after losing the doubles point. The No. 3 team of
Paige Mills and
Kaitlyn Pfund was able to defeat their opponents with a final score of 7-5.
Rose-Hulman bounced back to win three of the six singles matches.
Autumn Korey earned a win at No. 3 singles with a score of 5-7, 6-2, 6-0.
Nova Gladden picked up a victory in the No. 5 spot, 3-6, 6-1, 7-5.
Julia Burt was the final singles winner at No. 6 singles with scores of 6-3, 6-3.
Rose-Hulman women's tennis will return home to host Asbury on Saturday, October 17, at 11 AM.
