TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The women's tennis team defeated Franklin on Sunday with a final score of 6-1. The team advances to 5-7 overall and 2-0 in the HCAC.
Rose-Hulman got off to a good start, winning two doubles matches to claim the doubles point. The No. 2 team of
Paige Mills and
Camille Clark earned a win with a score of 6-3.
Emerson Donaldson and
Nova Gladden represented the team at the No. 3 spot with a win, 6-0.
The Fightin' Engineers carried their momentum into singles play, winning five of the six matches to defeat the Grizzlies.
Lia Taylor was a standout at No. 1 singles, claiming the win with set scores of 7-6 (7-3), 4-6, 1-0 (10-3).
Paige Mills represented the team at No. 3 singles with a win, 6-1, 6-1.
Camille Clark rounded out the top three singles players for Rose with a victory at No. 4 singles with scores of 6-1 and 7-6 (9-7).
The women's tennis team will return to action on the road against Principia on Saturday, March 28, at 12 PM.
