SHELBYVILLE, Ind. – The Fightin' Engineers led off the season with a fifth-place finish at the Franklin Grizzly Invitational. The team recorded a total of 142 points in the 5K race.
Senior
Jocelyn Onstot soared to a first-place finish as she achieved a time of 18:34.6. She finished 24 seconds ahead of the second-place finisher, and only three runners in the 111-athlete competition finished within a minute of her time.

Brianna Bittel recorded Rose-Hulman's second-best time of 20:57.5 to finish in 26th-place. In the first meet of her collegiate career, freshman
Anna Wilcox placed 46th overall with a time of 21:52.9.
Freshman
Natalie Obluda recorded a 52nd-place finish in 22:17.7, and sophomore
Malia Pischel rounded out Rose-Hulman's scorers with a 63rd-place finish in 22:58.7.
DePauw won the competition, recording a total of 37 points. Rhodes placed second with 51 points, while Oberlin rounded out the top three with 86 points.
Rose-Hulman will continue the season at the Hanover College Invitational on Saturday, September 12 at 10 AM.
