Fightin' Engineers Place 16th at Transylvania Invitational

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Fightin' Engineers opened the season by placing 16th overall at the Transylvania Invitational with a team score of 904 (+40).
 
Junior Nathan Rich led Rose-Hulman with a 51st-place finish, recording a score of 224 (+8). He recorded at least two birdies across all three rounds, finishing the tournament with a total of seven birdies.
 
Freshman Evan Booth took 55th-place, finishing one point behind Rich with a score of 225 (+9). He would also record seven birdies, highlighted by four birdies on round two.
 
Senior Nate Benson recorded a 62nd-place finish with a score of 226 (+10). He would lead the Fightin' Engineers with a total of nine birdies, with five coming on the second round.
 
Freshman Pablo Colin posted a 74th-place finish with a score of 229 (+13) and freshman Frank Colbert added an 86th-place finish with a score of 245 (+29).
 
Mary Hardin-Baylor finished in first place as the team recorded an overall score of 841 (-23). Trinity Texas took second with an 845 (-19) score and Illinois Wesleyan recorded a third-place finish with a score of 847 (-17).
 
Rose-Hulman will be back in action on Friday, September 25 – Saturday, September 26 as they compete in the Midwest Region Classic in Kansasville, Wis.
