Jacob Budyka enters his first year as the Rose-Hulman assistant baseball coach in the upcoming 2026 season.
Budyka has five years of travel baseball coaching experience with Force Ohio and served as a scouting intern with Prep Baseball Report Ohio in 2017. He has also coached at Andrew College and New College of Florida, where the program finished 20–26 in its inaugural season in the Sun Conference.
Budyka most recently served as head coach and assistant general manager of the Waterville Woodworkers in the Greater Northeast Collegiate Baseball League, being named GNCBL Coach of the Year in the team’s inaugural season.
He earned a Master of Science in Sports Administration from Southeastern Oklahoma State University in July 2023. Budyka graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Finance from Notre Dame College in 2021. While at Notre Dame College, he earned Academic All-MEC honors in 2019 and 2020 for both football and baseball.
Budyka will work directly with the catchers and hitters, and will serve as the team’s first base coach.
