Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology

Laura Butt is entering her 11th year at Rose-Hulman, serving as the associate director of recreational sports and athletic facilities for the 2025-26 academic year.

Laura is responsible for the aquatic programming, event & facility management, staff scheduling, training and hiring. Laura is a 2006 graduate of Indiana State University, where she received a BS in Exercise Science and received her Masters in Sports Management also from Indiana State University in 2020.

After graduation from Indiana State in 2006, Laura spent time at home raising her two children and managing all of the financial operations for the 3000-acre farm and agricultural seed sales agency she and her husband, Josh, own in a family corporation with his parents.

Outside of Rose-Hulman, Laura is a member of the Board of Directors for Ascension Health Clay County Hospital and is also active with her daughter Ava’s, participation in Volleyball, Track and 4-H; and son Elijah’s involvement with STRIVE 365 travel baseball, 4-H and basketball.
