CHICAGO, ILL. -- North Park University relied on a first half goal by Markus Fodstad to top Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology 1-0 in a men's soccer non-conference match on Saturday night.
Fodstad scored in the 32nd minute, courtesy of a double assist from Jakob Aronsson and Robin Hals.
North Park outshot the Fightin' Engineers 18-7 in the contest, with four players firing three or more shots each. Senior Drew Belk (Jasper) had five shots to pace the Rose-Hulman offensive effort.
Junior Drew Miller (Cincinnati, Ohio/Bishop Fenwick) paced the defensive performance with seven saves.
North Park improved to 5-3-1 on the season, while Rose-Hulman stands 3-4-2. The Fightin' Engineers open the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference schedule with a trip to Bluffton University next Saturday.
