TERRE HAUTE, Ind – The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's soccer team hosts Transylvania University Saturday, Oct. 11 for a Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) game slated to begin at 3 p.m. on the Intramural Field.

The Fightin' Engineers enter the game with a 7-3-2 record including a 2-0 mark in conference play. Rose-Hulman defeated Defiance 2-1 on Oct. 4 and most recently won at Mount St. Joseph 3-1 on Oct. 8.

Rose-Hulman is led offensively by sophomore Ben Lyon who has scored five of Rose-Hulman's 14 team goals including the first four of the season. Senior Andrew Bartush and junior Marco Cattani have each found the back of the net twice.

Senior goalkeeper Drew Miller has played every minute for the Engineers thus far this season. The Cincinnati, Ohio, native has surrendered just eight goals in 12 games and has totaled 44 saves.

Transylvania enters the contest with a 5-5 record including a 1-1 mark in HCAC competition. The Pioneers defeated Manchester 5-0 on Oct. 4 and fell to Franklin 4-0 on Oct. 7.

Rose-Hulman has a 4-5-3 career record against Transylvania. The two teams tied 1-1 in the regular season before the Engineers defeated the Pioneers 1-0 in overtime in the HCAC Tournament Championship.

After the game with Transylvania, Rose-Hulman will travel to Franklin for a 7:30 p.m. game with the Grizzlies on Wednesday, Oct. 14.
