CINCINNATI, Ohio -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology improved to 3-1 on the women's tennis season with a 9-0 victory at Mount St. Joseph on Saturday afternoon.
The Fightin' Engineers traveled six players to the match, and all six ended up with perfect 2-0 records. Senior Suzana Mohd and freshman Isabella Evans won at the top two singles positions, with senior Kylie McCollum and sophomore Lauren Edwards capturing victories at No. 3 and No. 4 singles. Junior Lauren Miller and sophomore Sydney Short rounded out the singles wins with victories at No. 5 and No. 6.
In doubles play, Mohd and McCollum teamed up for a victory at the No. 1 spot. Edwards and Evans claimed a win at No. 2, and Short joined Miller for a victory at the No. 3 position.
Rose-Hulman improved to 3-1 overall and 1-1 in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference play. The Fightin' Engineers return to action with home matches against Oakland City and Defiance on Saturday.
