COMPLETE RESULTS
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology placed fifth on the men's side and sixth in the women's competition at the Indiana Intercollegiate Swimming Championships hosted by Purdue University on Saturday.
The field included four NCAA Division I teams, three NCAA Division III teams, and one NCAA Division II squad.
Senior Orion Martin led the Fightin' Engineer performance with two top-10 finishes. Martin came home second in the 100-butterfly (49.87) and ninth in the 50-freestyle (21.58).
Junior Pierce Bartine added a ninth-place finish in the 100-butterfly (52.47), and sophomore Cam Gill finished ninth in the 100-backstroke (53.26).
On the women's side, junior Ellie Hong had a strong third-place finish in the 100-backstroke with a time of 58.65 to record an individual top-10 placement.
Rose-Hulman returns to action with its home opener on Friday night. The Fightin' Engineers will host Millikin University and Manchester University at 6 p.m.
