TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology returns to Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference men's soccer action when they host Hanover College on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. for the Fightin' Engineers Senior Day.
Rose-Hulman will honor two seniors prior to their final regular season home game at the Engineer Intramural Field.
Mike Smyser has played in 73 games for the Fightin' Engineers, and he has scored four goals and tallied four assists as a defender for RHIT. Dieter Schultz has been a two-year starter for Rose-Hulman and has tallied four goals and twelve assists for his career.
Rose-Hulman stands 10-2-3 on the season after a shutout victory 4-0 against Earlham College on Wednesday. The Fightin' Engineers are also 5-0-1 in HCAC play. Hanover has a 10-6 record and is 6-0 in conference play.
Sophomore Austin Webb leads Rose-Hulman's offense with five goals and 13 points. Junior Alex Jansen has added 15 points on six goals and three assists.
Junior Ben Lyon (four goals, four assists) and senior Dieter Schultz (two goals, six assists) have contributed twelve and ten points respectively.
Sophomore Carter Wright leads the goalkeeping performance with a 7-1-3 record and a 0.83 GAA. Sophomore Michael Lawrence is 3-1 with a 0.82 GAA this season.
After Saturday's matchup, Rose-Hulman travels to Anderson University on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m.
