FRANKLIN, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology returns to Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference volleyball play with a trip to Franklin College on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
The Fightin' Engineers stand 10-12 overall and 0-2 in conference play, while Franklin is 12-9 and 2-0 in HCAC matches. Rose-Hulman finished 2-2 overall at last weekend's Illinois Wesleyan Invitational.
Freshman Julia Hammond (161), freshman Bailey MacInnis (153) and sophomore Becca Poppel (113) have passed 100 kills on the season for Rose-Hulman. Senior Sarah Jensen as a team-high 316 assists, followed by Marissa Gollnick with 288.
Sophomore Gabi Razma has tallied 463 digs (5.65 per set) to lead the defensive effort. Junior Emily McLendon (77) and sophomore Mackenzie Gossard (66) are one-two on the squad in blocks.
After Wednesday's matchup, Rose-Hulman hits the road for two matches in Ohio this weekend. The Fightin' Engineers travel to Kenyon on Friday night and Denison on Saturday afternoon.
