FRANKLIN, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology took the first two sets, before Franklin College rallied for a 22-25, 23-25, 25-19, 25-10, 15-13 volleyball victory on Wednesday night.
Senior Sarah Jensen led the Rose-Hulman offensive attack with team-highs of 16 kills and 17 assists. Freshman Julia Hammond added 10 kills, and freshman Marissa Gollnick contributed 16 assists.
Sophomore Gabi Razma led the Fightin' Engineers with 25 digs, with Gollnick (12) and Becca Poppel (11) also reaching double figures. Poppel also had a team-high two service aces.
Sophomore Mackenzie Gossard paced Rose-Hulman with two block assists. Amanda Lelivelt led the Franklin offense with 15 kills.
Rose-Hulman dropped to 10-13 and 0-3 in conference play, while Franklin improved to 13-9 and 3-0 in league matches. The Fightin' Engineers travel to Ohio this weekend to face Kenyon on Friday and Denison on Saturday.
