TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology returns to the volleyball court for a Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference matchup against Manchester University on Wednesday at 8 p.m. at Hulbert Arena.
The Fightin' Engineers stand 8-9 on the season after falling in the conference opener to Bluffton on Saturday. Manchester enters Wednesday's matchup with a 5-9 mark and is 0-1 in league play.
Rose-Hulman has been led in kills by freshmen Bailey MacInnis and Julia Hammond with 127 and 119, respectively. Senior Sarah Jensen has contributed 78 kills and ranks second on the team with 218 assists.
Freshman Marissa Gollnick paces the squad with 225 assists, and sophomore Gabi Razma has contributed 335 digs at a 5.32 dig-per-set clip. Junior Emily McLendon (62) and sophomore Mackenzie Gossard (52) lead the team's blocking effort. Gossard also has a team-high 15 service aces.
After Wednesday's matchup, Rose-Hulman hits the road for the Illinois Wesleyan Invitational on Friday and Saturday. Rose-Hulman will face Lincoln Christian and Adrian on Friday, then square off with Simpson and Illinois Wesleyan on Saturday.
