TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's basketball team hosts Anderson University on Husco Automotive Night at Hulbert Arena this Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
Rose-Hulman stands 6-7 overall and 3-3 in conference play entering the matchup. Anderson has an overall record of 6-7 and is 2-4 in league games.
The Fightin' Engineers look to snap a two-game losing streak in a matchup featuring their third consecutive in-state foe. Rose-Hulman most recently dropped a narrow 79-75 decision to Manchester University at home on Saturday.
Senior Matt Loesing leads the Rose-Hulman squad in scoring average at 13.3 points per game. Senior Jimmy Miller adds 11.1 points per contest, and senior Dillon Reynolds is also in double figures at 10.2.
The Manchester starting lineup for the Fightin' Engineers also included Tyler Duffy (9.5 ppg) and Stephen Schueth (6.5 ppg).
Anderson features four starters averaging double figures in scoring. The duo of 6-6 freshman Cole Hartman (17.5 ppg) and 6-0 sophomore Trevor Lucas (16.7 ppg) combined for more than 34 points per contest. Nathaniel Acree (12.6 ppg) and Stanley Duncan (11.4 ppg) are also Ravens double-figure scorers.
The men's basketball team wishes to thank Husco Automotive and Husco International for serving as the title sponsor for Wednesday's game. All Rose-Hulman students are invited to meet with representatives from Husco Automotive and have free refreshments near the Sports & Recreation Center Multipurpose Room from 6:30-7:30 p.m. on Wednesday night.
The Husco Automotive Night also includes promotions from Chick-fil-A and the Rose-Hulman Career Services Office. All fans in attendance will receive a coupon for a free Chick-fil-A sandwich if the Fightin' Engineers score 75 or more points on Wednesday night. Also, the first Rose-Hulman to make a half-court shot at halftime of Wednesday's game will receive a voucher to pay for their books in the upcoming Spring Quarter, courtesy of the Career Services Office.
In addition, the first 250 fans attending Wednesday's game will receive a free pair of sunglasses, courtesy of the Sports and Recreation Center and Student Affairs.
After Wednesday's game, Rose-Hulman returns to action with a matchup at Defiance College on Saturday at 3 p.m.
