TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology continues its Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference schedule with a trip to in-state foe Earlham College on Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m.
The Fightin' Engineers stand 7-8 overall and 4-4 in conference play following a narrow 67-64 loss to Defiance College on Saturday. Rose-Hulman's most recent victory was a 103-86 decision over Anderson last Wednesday.
Senior Matt Loesing leads the balanced scoring attack with an average of 12.9 points per game. Senior Jimmy Miller recently crossed the 800-point mark in his Rose-Hulman career and averages 11.1 points per contest.
Other recent Rose-Hulman starters have included Dillon Reynolds (10.9 ppg), Tyler Duffy (10.3 ppg) and Stephen Schueth (7.5 ppg).
Earlham enters with a 1-14 overall record but has six losses by 10 points or less. Taylen Alexander leads the Earlham offense at 13.8 points per game. Elijah Wilson-Thomas adds 13.3 points per contest, and six other players average between 4.9 and 6.3 points per game.
After Wednesday's matchup, Rose-Hulman caps a three-game road trip with a contest at Transylvania University on Saturday at 3 p.m. The Fightin' Engineers return home to face Hanover and Bluffton next week.
