Career High Nights Lead W-Basketball Past Hanover

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology placed four players in double figures with career-high scoring performances in an 83-70 women's basketball victory over Hanover College on Wednesday night.

Freshman Ally Bromenschenkel led the balanced attack with 18 points and seven rebounds on 6-8 from the field and 6-7 on the free throw line.  Twin sister Abby Bromenschenkel added 17 points on 7-10 from the field and three three-point shots.

Junior Abbie Marshall pitched in with 17 points on 5-9 from the field and 7-8 on the line with seven rebounds.  Freshman Jenna Queary rounded out the double-figure career-high scoring performances with 10 points on 5-7 from the field and four rebounds.

Rose-Hulman shot 63% from the field in the third quarter and 75% in the fourth quarter to turn a 35-28 halftime deficit into a 13-point win.  Senior Cassidy Cain contributed to the effort with nine points, and Chiarra Franklin added six points to help balance the scoring attack.

Ashley Malloy led the Hanover offensive effort with 25 points.  Whitney Wilson also reached double figures for the Panthers with 12 points.

The Fightin' Engineers relied on a 39-24 rebounding advantage and hit 24-32 from the free throw line to secure their fourth consecutive victory.

Rose-Hulman improved to 9-3 on the season and 3-2 in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference play, while Hanover dropped to 6-6 and 2-3 in league play.  The Fightin' Engineers host in-state conference foe Manchester University on Saturday at 2 p.m.
